Most exciting is that my story, Prep Work, will be coming out at Dreamspinner sometime in late summer. I'm stoked; this will be my first work with them. I still have stories in the pipeline at Torquere, but it was time to branch out a little.
Prep Work was fun -- I usually write nice guy protags, but this time, I got a foul-mouthed, sarcastic man who has a real knack for putting his foot in his mouth. It's a professional asset for him, oddly enough, but a problem when it comes to relationships. I don't mind tormenting characters for a story, but with Jude, it was almost too easy -- all I had to do was wind him up and let him go, because with no brain-to-mouth filter, he creates his own havoc. You'll have a chance to see him test Tommy's patience to the limit.
I'm also working on a short for Torquere's Charity Sip Blitz. The theme is "It Gets Better" and the story is in the drafting stages. Eden's about 6000 words ahead of me, so I'd better get cracking.
I've also agreed to work up a prompt fic for a Goodreads challenge -- that one will be May/December and a lot of fun. The pic is hawt!
The novella Maroon that I sent back to my editor recently has a pub date -- look for Donal agus Jimmie on October 29th. "Agus" is Gaelic for "and" which tells you I've dipped into my love for Ireland again for this story. If I can get the mp3 files subdued, I'll put up a couple of songs that were inspirational for this story.
Eyes calendar. Thinks of another project. Too soon to talk about this one.
